Cybersecurity Mesh and cyber-savvy board of directors are some of the top security trends in 2022, according to Gartner. “Over the past two years, the typical enterprise has been turned inside out,” says Peter Firstbrook, VP Analyst at Gartner.
As cyber security and regulatory compliance become the top two biggest concerns of corporate boards, trends show 40% of Boards will have a dedicated cyber security committee by 2025. Gartner predicts almost half of Boards of Directors anticipate changing their business model in line with the cyber security trends.
These trends highlight ongoing but not yet widely recognized strategic shifts in the cyber security ecosystem in 2022. Each trend is expected to have broad industry impact and significant potential for disruption.
