The Gartner Hype Cycle for Emerging Technologies, 2020 showcases the technologies with the potential to significantly affect business and society over the next 5 to 10 years. After a study of over 1700 technologies, Gartner presented a succinct list of the top 30 technologies and top trends.

The latest Gartner Hype Cycle includes “emerging technologies that enable a composable enterprise and aspire to regain society’s trust in technology. Some of these technologies “can alter the state of your brain”.

Social Distancing Technologies, AI and Health passports are some of the key trends taking shape as a new world emerges from COVID impact.

Social Distancing Technologies and Health Passports have entered at a point in the Hype Cycle rarely seen, says a Gartner Analyst.

In an unusual move, Gartner included these developments in the hype cycle for emerging technologies despite a market penetration of 5-20%.
