Cloudera has appointed Keir Garrett as its new Vice President for Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), based in Sydney. This move comes at a critical time for Cloudera as it releases new hybrid data capabilities and broadens its hybrid data footprint in the area.

Ms Garrett joins Cloudera with more than 20 years of experience in management, strategic consulting, and digital transformation.

“One of the first places in the world to use hybrid data technology is the ANZ region.

Our customers are committed to achieving ambitious growth goals in both cloud and on-premises environments,” Remus Lim, vice president for APAC and Japan at Cloudera, adds.

“However, this ambition for quick growth also reflects a greater need to adopt more stringent data security and governance standards.”

The management of Cloudera expressed trust in Ms Garrett’s abilities to “help our clients move their data transformation projects along quickly”.
