Accenture announced the acquisition of Yesler, a B2B marketing services agency aimed at strengthening account-based marketing, client advocacy, sales enablement and marketing automation services. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Founded in 2004, the Seattle based B2B marketing agency employs about  400 people with an exclusive focus on the B2B market. Counting Microsoft, Xbox, Mindtree and Zillow as clients, Yesler comprises two business segments: Yesler B2B, which provides full-service digital marketing and managed services and Projectline services, which provides strategic resourcing solutions.

Group Chief Executive of Accenture Interactive Brian Whipple said: “B2B marketers are seeking to leverage best practices from B2C while also addressing the specialized needs of B2B. The addition of Yesler allows us to enhance the complete set of B2B services we provide our clients — from strategy and creative to implementation and ongoing management.”

“B2B marketing has become extraordinarily complex and, at the same time, buyers expect the same ‘Amazon-like’ interactions they experience as consumers.”

Mike Kichline, CEO of Yesler said the Accenture acquisition would provide the business with a global scale along with strengths and values that “complement our own”.

“Together, our capabilities provide a differentiated, data-driven approach that companies can use to position themselves strategically and deliver on the ambition of sustainable growth.”

Accenture has been on an acquisition drive. In 2019, Accenture said it made 33 acquisitions investing about $1.2 billion. Accenture’s earlier investments include Context Information Security, Symantec’s Cyber Security Services, Deja vu Security, iDefense, Maglan, Redcore, Arismore and FusionX demonstrating the importance given by the world’s leading IT services player to specialist services.
